At our Annual General Meeting on 29 May two society stalwarts were awarded with the esteemed Service Awards for their services to Theatre.
Pat Lines was absolutely overwhelmed and delighted to receive her award for “Services to Children’s Theatre” and presented with the award by Society Patron Russell Fawcett and our Immediate Past President Trevor Goudie.
Trevor Read the following Citation:
“Pat has been involved in many aspects of the Society over the years both on and off stage, having been on Committee, and served as production manager on at least one occasion. Pat is best known today for her service to Children’s Theatre, and that is what this award is in recognition of.
She has directed 6 shows for children :- Dream Maker 2009, Cinderella 2010, I want My Mummy 2015, Oz 2016, Pinocchio 2017, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs this year.
Two young people who had their start in children’s theatre have gone on to tertiary study in the field, Sam Harris and Sophie Wright.
The Society is grateful to Pat for the time that she puts into this area of its
operations.
